The management of modifiable cardiovascular risk factors is still one of the main objectives in preventing coronary heart disease. The EUROASPIRE IV (European Action on Secondary and Primary Prevention by Intervention to Reduce Events IV) cross sectional survey were carried out to estimate the prevalence of the main risk factors in Euro­pean countries and evaluate the implementation of evidence based guidelines on secondary cardiovascular prevention.
