Summary

Objective. The aim of this literature review was to review ghrelin, leptin, cholecystokinin and glucagon hormones and their influence on the regulation of feelings of hunger and satiety.

Adipokines are biologically active ele­ments rel ated to adipose tissue. Adipo­kines and their receptors guarantee the interaction of adipose tissue with other organ systems, that is nervous, immune and that of the endocrine glands.

Objective. To evaluate the indicators of leptin and adiponectin metabolism among perimenopausal women and their relationship with BMI and long-term changes in the BMI.
