General aspects:
1. The article is reviewed by two reviewers, one of whom is not a member of the Editorial Board.
2. The review process is mutually anonymous: neither the author nor the reviewer knows the other's identity (double-blind review).
3. The reviewer must adhere to the principle of impartiality.
4. Data from the manuscript are neither used nor disclosed to third parties until the material has been officially published.
5. Notes and comments can be provided directly on the manuscript using “Track changes” functionality. It is also advisable to complete the Questionnaire, available for download here.
