Objective. To assess the mental health of the population and its changes using the CES-D scale.

Methodology. A quantitative cross-sectional study was carried out using a questionnaire consisting of five socio-demographic questions and thirty questions about the respondent's mental well-being.

Background. The prevalence of depression, anxiety and impaired health-related quality of life (HRQL) is significantly higher among people with increased cardiometabolic risk. One of the most studied methods that may improve psycho-emotional state and HRQL in this population is physical exercise training, which can be performed independently or with a supervision of a healthcare specialist.

Aim. The aim of this paper is to explain the relationship between smoking and mental health, in addition to reviewing the current evidence-based methods of supported smoking cessation for mentally ill patients.
