Summary

 

Not only increasing juvenile delin­quency, but also violent crimes commit­ted by juveniles become more and more relevant problem in Lithuania as in many other world countries. Further - more, downward trend in criminals’ age is betng noticed, because the per­sons younger than 18 years old break the criminal laws more and more often. This cause the discussions between lawyers, forensic medical practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, criminolo­gists, so ci ol o gists, peda gogues and other specialists about destructiveness of children, i. e. inclination of person or phenomenon to do harm to himself, en­vironment or other people, often caus­ing especially harmful or even irrevers­ible consequences to victims (for example, the life of a victim is taken, health is seriously injured etc.).

The object of this article - expression of children destructiveness by committing murders and grievous bodily injuries.

The aim of the work. To analyze the concepts of destructiveness, vio­lence, human health impairment and others. To present the concepts of mur­der and grievous bodily injuries as the most dangerous crimes, made by juve­niles, to disclose their definitions and to deliver conclusions in the end of the work after the summarization of re­search results.

The sources of the research. Leg­islation of the Republic of Lithuania, international and other legal acts, “Health Impairment Degree Determi­nation Rules” issued on May 23, 2003, analyzed special medical, psychologi­cal, legal literature were reviewed with consideration of comparative aspect, also thorough summarization of self­made research of criminal proceedings relative to the topic was referred.

Work methods. Linguistic, logical, systematic, analytical, descriptive sta­tistics and comparative methods were used. Logical and systematic cognitive methods were used in order to evaluate the opinions of medical, psychological, psychiatric, law scientists on the as­pects of the anaiyzed topic. Comparative method was used in reviewing the dynamics of very serious crime, com­mitted during a specific period. Lin­guistic method was used in order to dis­close the concepts used in the work.
